Fat Joe has released his first single, "Make It Rain," featuring the Dirty South's heavyweight
Lil Wayne and produced by Grammy award-winning, multiplatinum hit maker Scott Storch, to mixshow, crossover and urban radio. In just the first week BDS spins were clocking in at over 120 spins at mixshow radio with heavy play in New York, Orlando and Miami. Acclaimed video and film director Chris Robinson directed the clip for "
Make It Rain" in Miami. Diddy, Rick Ross, Baby, Scott Storch and
Lil Wayne all make appearances. MTV Jams has picked the video as their Jam of the Week. Starting October 2nd, "
Make It Rain" will get played every hour on the hour, 7 days a week. BET's "All
Access Granted" was on the set and aired their 1/2 hour special on
September 27th and
Fat Joe appeared on "106 & Park"
September 28th.
Fat Joe will also be performing at VH1's Annual Hip-Hop Honors award show, which airs on October 17th.
"Me, Myself & I," Fat Joe's seventh album, marks the first project for his newly formed Terror Squad Entertainment distributed by Imperial/EMI. The includes appearances from some of the hottest MCs in hip-hop right now, including The Game and Lil Wayne and production from heavy hitting producers including Scott Storch, DJ Khaled, The Runners, LV and Nujersy Devil.
After 13 years in the hip-hop game, Fat Joe has remained one of today's most relevant music artists and has garnered street credentials, critical acclaim and commercial success with numerous albums and smash singles including, "Represent," "Don Cartagena," "Jealous Ones Envy," "Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.)," "Loyalty," and "All Or Nothing." Some of his hit singles include "What's Luv" (featuring Ashanti), which was also the most played song in Atlantic Records' history, "We Thuggin,'" featuring R. Kelly and "Get It Poppin,'" featuring Nelly, and the Terror Squad smash "Lean Back" which had everyone across America including Bruce Willis doing the dance. It earned the collective a Grammy nomination for best performance by a rap group or duo. Fat Joe has collaborated with multi-platinum artists such as P. Diddy, Raekwon. Foxy Brown, Eminem, KRS-One, LL Cool J and many others.
