Los Angeles, CA (deadrebels.com) - Southern rockers, The Dead Rebels, are set to headline the Pioneer Days festival Friday October 20, at 10pm. The Dead Rebels will perform music from their self-titled debut release on the indie label Quarter 2 three, a division of Cherokee Studios music group. The Rebels will be preceded by one of the top local bands Shawn Mafia and Ten Cent Thrills. The Dead Rebels are known for their loud energetic performances, and in 2005 Music Connection magazine named the band one of 2005's top unsigned artists of the year. Joshua tree is a legendary region where many musicians visit for inspiration, and the Dead Rebels expect to tap into this energy for their performance. 'We are grateful for the opportunity to headline the live entertainment at the festival,' says Lance, the lead singer of the Dead Rebels. 'We are excited about doing a performance for the people from the nearby marine base cause we understand that they don't get to hear a lot of live music out in the Twentynine-Palms area.' Pioneer days began as a community festival celebrating the pioneer and mining heritage of the high desert town of Twentynine Palms. The 70th annual festival will also include children's carnival rides, a hometown parade, vendors, food, beer garden, and a charity walk. This year's festival is set to be the biggest live music event that Twentynine Palms has ever seen.
