Ronnie Milsap will receive the Lifetime Achievement award, Narvel Blackstock will receive the
Industry Achievement award, and
David Kusek will keynote speak at iebaLIVE! The Awards Banquet will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, in the Hilton Ballroom at the Hilton Suites Nashville Downtown in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ronnie Milsap, known as the soul singer of country music, has a track record that speaks loud and clear - 40 No 1 hits, over 25 million records sold, Seven Grammy Awards, Four Academy of Country Music Awards, and Eight County Music Association Awards. Together, they underscore Milsap's position as one of the best-loved and most enduring artists in country music history.
ieba will also present Narvel Blackstock with the Industry Achievement Award. Narvel started off playing steel guitar at an early age and by 14 he was working the road. He joined the band of a then new artist, Reba McEntire. Within 2 years after being in the band he became the band leader and then a short 2 years later became the tour manager. In 1988, he was named personal manager to Reba McEntire and in '89 became her husband. Narvel built their Starstruck Entertainment into a music powerhouse encompassing booking, management, publishing, publicity, advertising, promotions and jet services. At one time, Narvel was the personal manager for 13 country acts, oversaw a writing staff of 30 working in publishing, and directed a 22 truck, multi-million dollar tour production for Reba. Narvel has reopened the management division of Starstruck Entertainment and has partnered with his son Brandon to represent Blake Shelton.
David Kusek will serve as the 2006 keynote speaker for the annual iebaLIVE! conference on Monday, October 16, 2006. David is the co-author of 'Future of Music,' and brings an amazing grasp of where the music business is going and where it has been through his unique perception on the future of music and technology.
