NEW YORK (RoadRunner Records) -Nickelback is among the most nominated artists for the 2006 American Music Awards, nabbing three nominations in the following categories: Album of the Year for All The Right Reasons, Best Band or Duo, and Alternative Artist of the Year. "We are proud that our work is enjoyed by our fans and honored to be nominated for these three AMAs" says vocalist/guitarist Chad Kroeger.

Nickelback has spent the better part of 2006 touring the world in support of All The Right Reasons, most recently wrapping up an extremely successful, North American tour where they headlined arenas. Featuring the No 1 hit singles "Photograph," "Animals," "Savin' Me" and the newest smash "Far Away," (click HERE to watch video) All The Right Reasons debuted at No 1 on the Top 200 Albums Chart in October 2005, and has sold over 4 million albums in the U.S. to date. After 49 weeks on the Top 200 Albums Chart, the album is still in the Top 10, selling close to 60,000 units a week. Online, the album is the 25th highest selling record ever, having sold 2.8 million individual tracks to date. The videos for the singles have charted as well, consistently ascending to the top of the VH1 playlists and most requested video chart. The continued growth of Nickelback is a success story built on the road, on the radio and, above all things, by great rock songs. The band's 2003 release, The Long Road, is certified Triple Platinum, and bore several rock, modern rock, and pop radio smashes including "Someday," "Figured You Out" and "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good." The album also earned the band 3 Grammy nominations, 6 Radio Music Award nominations, and 1 American Music Award nomination. Nickelback's previous album, Silver Side Up, was an instant smash upon release in 2001, spawning three No. 1 hit singles including "How You Remind Me," "Too Bad" and "Never Again." The album achieved multi-Platinum status in the U.S. (6x Platinum), racked up four Grammy Award nominations, four Billboard Awards, four Canadian Juno awards.
