(Bru Records) - According to respected hip hop publication XXL, Orlando's buzzworthy hip hop act, Superiority Complex, is not the only "magic" in town ("Orlando magic in effect" - XXL, August 2006). The venerable magazine's "Chairman's Choice" column called out the "disarmingly humble, and soulfully loose" qualities of the group's debut album "Stand Up" (Bru Records), and CMJ Radio reporters have approved as well, landing the record as the No 3 most added hip hop album of the week behind notables Jurassic 5 and Cut Chemist. XXL also lends the column inches required to break down the acronym of a name that is Superiority Complex leader, Poisoned Fetus: Possession of Infinite Skills Overwhelm Novice Emcees Daily Flows Exceed the Usual Standards.

Stand Up, walk over to your stereo, and drop the needle on this record, press play on your CD player, or do whatever it takes to make Superiority Complex's latest ruckus come out of your speakers. Why, you ask? Because it's like butter baby, that's why. Oh, and because Poisoned Fetus is your favorite rapper's favorite rapper, Iron Monk is one part Flavor Flav, one part Common, and the other part we still haven't figured out what, and because Blackology is the prodigy composer whose soundscapes provide the perfect backdrop for the sound called "Superiority Complex". Flawlessly charismatic, hard-hitting rhyme spitting, melodic undertones, and street as well as book smart intellect are just the icing, or butter, rather, on this tasty pastry. There are sixteen piping hot tracks to sink your teeth into.

This Orlando, Florida by way of Arkansas trio has spent the last four years cranking out a few underground releases, making some special guest appearances, brushing up on their live performance, and transitioning from a successful regional band to one that is recognized nationally as well as internationally. Poisoned Fetus was featured on Deloach's "Labor of Love" (Black Son Records), and Iron Monk was featured on the international release "Reality Show" by Zur on Chivo Records from Spain. Stand Up is being released on the band's own label, Bru Records.
