PARIS, France (Top40 Charts) - The French duo, Daft Punk have denied the two main candidates for the upcoming presidential election in France from using Daft Punks track One More Time as their political campaign song, in an attempt to appeal to young voters.

Apparently, both Jacques Chirac and Lionel Jospin (the candidates) had approached Daft Punk asking to use the song, but the group refused, saying they didnt want their music associated with politics.

The bands manager, Pedro Winter has said that he has faxed the candidates and told them not to use the track and went on to say, Now if they break the law, I can say that our next President is a breaker of the law.

This isnt the first time Daft Punk have intervened to stop French politicians from using their music.
An aide of Chiracs recently used music from Daft Punks side project, Stardust. The band sued and won.
