DJ Khaled has won two awards at the first annual Ozone Awards this past weekend. The awards ceremony is sponsored by the number one Southern urban magazine, Ozone Magazine.
DJ Khaled won top honors for Best Club DJ as well as Best Collaboration for his hit single, "Holla At Me," which features Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Lil' Wayne,
Pitbull and Paul Wall. Khaled also performed his new single, "Born and Raised" at the ceremony.
"Born and Raised" and the new single "Grammy Family" are currently climbing up the radio charts. The video for "Grammy Family," directed by Bernard Gourley (Three 6 Mafia, E-40, Cam'ron), will World Premiere along with a MTV2 "Makes A Video" on Tuesday, August 8th, 2006. The track features G.O.O.D. Music Family artist Consequence and features Kanye West and John Legend.
The Miami/Dade County classic, "Born and Raised" featuring Trick Daddy, Pitbull and Rick Ross is already Top 10 at WEDR/Miami and is setting the city on fire. The video, directed by DAYO, will World Premiere on Yahoo! on Monday, August 21st, 2006.
"Listennn...The Album" was released on June 6th, 2006 and rocketed to No 1 on the Billboard Independent Chart on the strength of the smash single "Holla At Me" and its accompanying video.
