MONTREAL, Canada (Grand Entertainment & Music/ www.gmsc-info.com) - Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. announces that it is finalizing a major marketing campaign throughout Francophone
Europe for the Qbanito debut album, "Partir."
Qbanito has already achieved significant success with this album in both the Francophone European and Canadian markets. The French version of this album has already spun the hit single "Maria" which reached No 1 throughout Francophone Canada and made significant inroads in the larger markets of France and Belgium. The album itself is on its way to Gold certification in Francophone Canada where it is currently ranked as the 85th best selling album overall in all music genres. This ranking is improving every week and the album has moved up 16 spots since July 15th 2006.
Grand Entertainment was informed last week that Universal AZ France was joining forces with M6 to provide a full "commercialization" strategy throughout Francophone Europe for Qbanito and the "Partir" album. M6 is the most powerful music network in the French European markets, and it currently owns and operates six specialist channels aimed at young viewers, with one of their outlets recently setting a historic record with 4,350,000 viewers daily.
Fred Berlin, President, stated, "This is a huge opportunity for Grand Entertainment and Qbanito. First, for a new artist to have signed a licensing agreement with such a powerhouse as Universal AZ Music France is a rarity in the music world today. This, coupled with the fact that Universal AZ is now using their influence to bring in the powerful M6, should be taken as a sign that industry leaders realize that Qbanito is a hot commodity. We also feel that having such a huge marketing program including television, radio, and concert promotion in place in the Francophone European markets will greatly increase album sales in this area." Berlin went on to say, "As I have stated before, I feel that Grand Entertainment is on the brink of turning the corner business wise in regards to revenues and profits. Right now, the level of activity is increasing like never before. With these promotion plans in motion, Qbanito's North American tour, the release of the Spanish album in North America, and the completion of our Cuban compilation album series ("The Microphone Series"), the next few months are critical for the future of Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. Unfortunately, we are still raising money to cover these additional promotional, production, and distribution costs, but we are certain that not only is this the necessary thing to do, it is absolutely the right time to do it."
