Sydney, AU (EMI MUSIc Australia) - Kelis's return has been eagerly awaited. The wait it is over as she is about to release her new single "Bossy' on September 2.

"Bossy" features an appearance from veteran rapper Too $hort. The song, boosted by a deep-fried 808 and sinister synths, shows the Harlem-bred songstress offering up a bit of bolshy sloganeering.

Two years ago Kelis dominated the UK's airwaves. She proved that she was the queen of off-kilter R&B with the unbelievable success of her singles 'Milkshake', 'Trick Me', 'Millionaire' and 'In Public'. 2006 will see her step back on that throne.
