Kingston, JA (By Pamela Lipshitz/ JLM PR) - Hip Hop diva Remy Ma is saddled up to appear with legendary Dancehall deejay (MC) Bounty Killer for the highly anticipated revival of his annual celebrity charity benefit Saddle to the East on August 26th. Remy, who will be making her first Jamaican appearance on July 15th for the island's reigning queen of the Dancehall Lady Saw's birthday bash, has recently been added to the all star line up for Saddle to the East 2006 which includes Bad Boy recording artist Elephant Man, Hip Hop turntable scientist Green Lantern, Vybz Kartel, Wayne Wonder, Capleton, Wayne Marshall, Busy Signal and a slew of Jamaica's biggest and best Dancehall/Reggae entertainers. Returning after a fiver year hiatus, the organizers of Saddle to the East are donating the proceeds to Upliftment Jamaica, a not-for-profit organization, providing health, education, and social services for the residents of St. Thomas, one of Jamaica's most underdeveloped and impoverished parishes. He adds that "we are all excited about Remy finally coming to perform in Jamaica. With her brand of hard-edge sass, and razor sharp lyrical prowess, her performance at Saddle to the East, one of the biggest stage shows for the year, is sure to make a lasting impression on the people of Jamaica." The Bronx native's smooth, witty flow has been featured on a number of hit singles, including Fat Joe's monster summer anthem "Lean Back" with her Terror Squad comrades, earning her the "Best Female Hip Hop" award at the 2005 BET Awards. With her latest album, There's Something About Remy: Based on a True Story, released on SRC/Universal Records, Remy has been hitting the airwaves with her latest singles "Conceited" and "Feels So Good" featuring Def Jam R&B crooner Ne-Yo.
