NEW YORK (River Sity Alliance/ www.chosenfewmusic.com) - Hip-Hop has always been an intense genre of music, but two young gentlemen have turned it into an enterprise of good will. Bigg Premiere and Markeith Williams recently launched a global talent search to find the best 3 unsigned or independent artists on the planet to be showcased on Bigg Premiere's upcoming album release "11901". The competition will start on the web at https://www.chosenfewmusic.com and end with a live concert finale to benefit The Youth Life Foundation of the Triangle and Operation M.E.N.D. of Durham, NC. I think this is an outstanding project to help unsigned talent gain some light, and I'm happy to help promote it

"I really wanted to bring together two things that mean a lot to me, music and my community," commented Williams who sits on the board of directors for 8 non-profit organizations, "As a former UNC wrestler, my coach instilled the importance of being a person who always acts as the example of integrity."

Bigg Premiere, creator of the globally syndicated No 1 rated radio program "Live From New York", is a Long Island, NY resident who routinely reaches out to local community outlets. "I want the project to be fun and something people will enjoy listening to for years," Bigg Premiere briefly mentions, "We didn't want to change the game, so we created a new one.".

The two men came together to form River Sity Alliance, an independent record label, while working on the "Live From New York" radio program which began playing on Mr. Williams' internet radio station WNC Williams Radio 919. Since then the project has gained support from other web radio and satellite stations as well, such as Toolshed Media Network of Chicago and RauteMusik.FM of Germany. "I think this is an outstanding project to help unsigned talent gain some light, and I'm happy to help promote it," says Jon Bovey (aka Daftwight), Raw moderator & public relations for RauteMusik.FM.

To add to the mix, both men decided to use their influence in the media and business world to bring value to the city of Durham, NC whose image garnered negative attention due to a scandal that involved one of its institutions of higher learning. "The competition will be good at helping bridge the gap between the younger and older generations of the community our organization serves," explains A.J. Rosenberg, Executive Board Chair for Operation M.E.N.D.

Markeith Williams and Bigg Premiere have found a way to shine a light on Hip-Hop's power to bring about exceptional change on a global scale, which is good to see in an industry most often depicted as one of violence, sex, and money. Stay posted at https://www.chosenfewmusic.com as the competition continues its march across the globe, submissions for contestants are open globally July 1 thru July 31, 2006.
