NEW YORK, NY. (By Sydney Margetson/ Atlantic Records) - Grand Hustle/Atlantic recording artist T.I. scored a BET Award last night at ceremonies held at the legendary Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The Atlanta-based rapper, who was presented with the Best Male Hip-Hop Award, also performed his No 1 single, "What You Know."

Passing the half million mark in its first week with a SoundScan total of 521,702, T.I.'s recently released "KING" made a triumphant No 1 debut on the Billboard 200 album chart.
In addition, the album was also No 1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, No 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart, No 1 on iTunes, and No 1 on the Top Digital albums chart.
"KING" marked the biggest first-week sales for an Atlantic artist in the 15-year history of the SoundScan retail tracking system. The rapper's current single, "Why You Wanna," is a top 10 single on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.

T.I. will perform "Why You Wanna" tomorrow, Thursday, June 29, on the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS. The rapper is also preparing to shoot the video for his next single, "Live In The Sky."
