LOS ANGELES (Razor & Tie) - To commemorate the band's 30th anniversary, Razor & Tie has announced the signing of rock legends Twisted Sister, who will release its final album, A TWISTED CHRISTMAS, on October 17th. The album will feature varied styles of metal versions of beloved Christmas classics including "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", " Deck The Halls" and O Come All Ye Faithful" (complete track listing to be announced). The band (featuring the classic line-up of Dee Snider – lead vocalist, Eddie Ojeda – co-lead guitarist/vocalist, Jay Jay French – co-lead guitarist/vocalist, Mark Mendoza – bass guitarist/vocalist and A. J. Pero – drummer/vocalist) has had to cancel several European headlining festival tour dates in order to record the album in time for the holiday season; they are currently in the studio now. Razor & Tie Co-Owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam commented, "We have been big fans of Twisted Sister for many years and are proud to help them bring their unique vision of holiday music to a large audience". Founding Twisted Sister band member Jay Jay French said, "We are very proud to be with Razor & Tie. They blow away the competition when it comes to niche marketing, and I can't wait to learn what niche means". Formed in 1976, Twisted Sister ruled the radio airwaves and MTV in the 1980s with such monster hits as "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock". To date, the band has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, boasts 34 silver, gold and platinum certifications from 8 countries and has toured in 22 different countries. Twisted Sister has given over 9,000 performances in their thirty-year career and can currently be found headlining huge metal festivals in Germany, Sweden, Finland, Mexico, Spain, Italy and Greece. On October 15th, the band will be inducted in to the Long Island Music Hall Of Fame along with other musical icons such as Billy Joel, Joan Jett and Stray Cats.
