LOS ANGELES (Aztlanfest.com) - Aztlan Fest 2002 heads into its third year early June 2002 with a truly explosive line-up of uncompromising talent as well as cultural lifestyle booths and more. The Aztlan Fest 2002 will repeat its feat of placing 30+artists in Los Angeles (at the Olympic Auditorium grounds) making this event one of the largest in the country.

The Aztlan Fest returns with the commitment to propel one of the most innovative, fresh and original Chicano music festivals in the country. Since its inception the Aztlan Fest has propelled itself by uniting a unique amalgam of musical genres such as rock, metal, punk, alternative, ska and hip-hop and more in an all day festival ambiance. The festival's line-up, exact dates and venues will be announced later this month.

The festival will set out early June 2002 hitting the top Latin markets in United States (San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, Phoenix, Dallas and Houston) in addition to expanding to one of the largest cities in the world Mexico City.

In review of last year's show, the LA Weekly noted: 'Aztlan Fest 2001 is all about celebrating pride and showcasing the real diversity of Chicano talent.' In another review, the New Times said, 'Aztlan Fest 2001 should serve as a harbinger for the future of Southern California Latin Rock scene.'

Aztlan Fest producer, Mario Cobian comments on the range of bands and mission, 'once again we continue with our mission to promote the often overlooked underground genres such as rock, metal, punk, alternative, ska and hip-hop that exist in each of our markets. In doing so we've created one of the most unique festivals in the country-reaching young and informed Bilingual and Bicultural Chicano audiences.'

Other highlights and facts about the festival include:
