NEW YORK (Sassure Website) - Independent artist Sassure's latest CD, entitled ARCHIPELAGOS, fuses Latin rhythms and styles with a mainstream popular approach to create a genre that has never been heard before. With family roots in Texas, California, Massachusetts, Guanajuato, and Mexico City, Sassure believes that the time for Latin music to dominate the mainstream music scene is fast approaching. "The music industry is struggling," he says, "and the music itself, especially pop and rock, is tired and running out of gas. Music needs to have passion again, to have romance again, and that's something Latin music has always had." Songs from the CD such as "Fly Now (Paso a Paso)", "The Shadow Coast", and "Amante", infuse tropical rhythms with mainstream instrumentation such as electric guitars and finger-bass runs. His next project, to be called FINDING PARADISE, will take this musical transformation even further
