LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - After conquering the legal court as a Harvard law student in MGM's "Legally Blonde," Reese Witherspoon is now set to take her act onto the tennis court. Intermedia has acquired an untitled comedy pitch from writer Bruce Miller set in the world of women's tennis for the actress' Intermedia-based Type A Films. Witherspoon is attached to star in and produce the project, which is being scripted by Miller. The film will be Type A's first co-production with Intermedia, with whom they have a first-look deal. Witherspoon, according to sources, also is mulling a handful of studio films for her next project.
