Brentwood, TN (Sparrow Records) - Top rock act Switchfoot hosts its 2nd Annual Bro-Am surf contest at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, California, on June 3, 2006. The event benefits Casa de Amparo, an organization providing emergency shelter, treatment, and intervention services for abused and neglected children in San Diego County.

The Switchfoot Bro-Am includes a surfing contest from 7 AM until 2:30 PM and a multi-artist concert from noon until 5 PM that concludes with Switchfoot's first hometown performance of 2006. The concert is free and open to the public; other local acts scheduled to perform include surf legend Tom Curren, Years Around The Sun, and Tristan Prettyman.

In addition to the surfing team entry fees and corporate sponsorships, funds for the Bro-Am event will be raised at a June 1 auction dinner. For information about making donations to the auction, entering the Bro-Am surf contest, and more, visit www.MySpace.com/SwitchfootBroAm.
