Mista Cavi is an underground legend who has been generating a fever pitch of anticipation for his highly anticipated new CD "The Takeover" (State County/Bungalo/Universal). Mista Cavi will be taking his hot brand of grimy West Coast hip-hop to the stage of the Key Club in a world premiere performance of his new CD on Tuesday night, May 30. The Key Club is located at 9039 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. "The Takeover" and all of the fireworks it contains will explode on the streets Tuesday, July 4. In 2003, Mista Cavi made an album of his mix-tapes entitled 'Raw & Uncut.' Purely on the strength of the talent and street savvy of Mista Cavi, his hit laden, underground CD blew up, selling over 27,000 units (CDs). He sold all of those hotly sought after CDs out-of-the trunk of his car in just three months. This landed Mista Cavi a 1.1 MILLION DOLLAR label deal with both CD and video distribution from Universal Music. The first CD from that deal is "The Takeover:" Featuring Jay Z, Suga Free, Kokane, Spider Loc, Eastwood and Caki Boy. Mista Cavi wrote all of the songs on the "The Takeover" with help from hit making Cali producers Battlecat and DaNeckbones. East Coast producer Spliffed Out and Interscope in-house producers also put in work on "The Takeover." Mista Cavi is set to hit big with his debut CD. There is already a lot of club and radio buzz surrounding "Get Turned Up," the first single from "The Takeover." Mista Cavi's "The Takeover" will be in stores July 4, but for a live preview of the CD, check out Mista Cavi at the Key Club Tuesday, May 30.
