NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - P. Diddy has been granted a temporary restraining order in Manhattan's Supreme Court to prevent the R&B quartet 112 from splitting from his Bad Boy label and going to Def Jam. The R&B group supposedly started looking for a new label after the group asked for a full accounting record from Bad Boy. When P. Diddy's label didn't respond to the request, 112 chose to sign on with Def Jam. A spokesperson for Def Jam denies that the label's guilty of trying to lure the group away. "112 contacted us about signing to the label and we expect the situation to be resolved immediately," says the Def Jam spokesperson. "I am shocked that someone who I considered a close friend for 15 years is attempting to steal one of my acts," reads a statement from P. Diddy. "Although I'm grateful the court issued a temporary restraining order in my favor, this kind of inappropriate behavior is disgraceful and I feel betrayed."
