MIAMI, FL. (IODA) - IODA - the leading digital distributor, marketer, and technology solutions provider for independent music - today announced deals with key independent Latin labels, a Latin music distributor and a Latin digital music service. IODA will provide digital distribution for Miami-based Musical Productions (MP); New York-based Premium Latin Music and Cutting Records; and Brazil-based Slag Records, YB, Peligro Discos, and independent distributor Tratore to its network of more than 150 digital music stores, subscription services and mobile partners including the iTunes Music Store, Verizon's V CAST, Napster, Yahoo!, and RealNetworks' Rhapsody. The labels and distributor bring thousands of tracks to IODA's rapidly expanding catalog and include an eclectic mix of all types of Latin music: pop, dance, hip hop, rock, salsa, reggaeton, merengue, Brazilian folk music, bachata, electronic, indie rock and more. In addition, IODA has partnered with popular Latin digital music service MisRolas to extend the reach of its entire catalog further in to the Latin market. The announcement was made today from the Billboard Latin Music Conference in Miami.

"We are excited to expand IODA's presence in the Latin market with these top quality partnerships," said Erik Gilbert, VP Content Acquisition. "IODA is committed to serving the global independent music community and working with all genres of music. Our technology platform coupled with our digital music marketing expertise provide a simple and effective solution for labels looking to extend their digital reach."

"The music industry has changed drastically over the past few years. No longer do consumers have to rely solely on record shops to acquire their music," said Carlos Paez, General Manager, Musical Productions. "As one of the top independent Latin labels in the industry, Musical Productions has always been at the forefront of staying in touch with consumer preferences and keeping up with new technology. It is for this reason that we are so excited to announce our working relationship with IODA which we recognize as being an integral part in helping us attain our ultimate goal of having our music available on a worldwide basis in every conceivable format."

IODA's new label partners will join more than 2,000 other independent labels around the world and utilize IODA's acclaimed, web-based business management tool, the Rightsholder Dashboard, to review licensing deals, manage and approve catalog information, access sales and royalty reports, analyze promotional data, and oversee global digital distribution of their catalogs. They will also be able to market their music to drive on- and offline sales via Promonet, IODA's groundbreaking promotional distribution network. Promonet provides qualified podcasts, blogs, Internet radio, e-zines and other promotional sites with access to thousands of pre-cleared, legal music tracks, videos, artwork, and other promotional assets from IODA's roster of leading independent labels.

"Tratore is very excited to have IODA as a strategic partner in digital distribution," said Mauricio Bussab, President of Tratore. "The world is changing rapidly and companies need to understand the road ahead and move quickly. IODA is an essential partner for Tratore and for those who want the transition to digital distribution to be smooth and profitable."

"As a digital download store focusing on Latin music, we're always looking for great material. IODA has done an amazing job providing us with the kind of niche content that is the backbone of our catalog: great artists and labels such as Bebel Gilberto and Bobi Cespedes from Six Degrees Records; releases by Eva Ayllon, Albita and Peru Negro from Times Square Records and World Connection. IODA provides us with a wide variety of music, from accordion legend Flaco Jimenez to guitar masters Strunz and Farah," said Grant T. Goad, CEO MisRolas. "On the technical side, their support and delivery standards are impeccable. Working with IODA has been an excellent experience all around."
