 NEW YORK (www.myspace.com/themonas) - Industry buzz Latin rock act The Monas will play at the Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards on April 26. The Monas will perform at the "We Hear the Future" Happy Hour showcase, sponsored by Heineken. The Monas have created quite a buzz in the indstry. Half of this Colombian band is formed by Juan Davila and Francisco Foschi who made the rhythm section of Los de Adentro, a pop rock band which has enjoyed gold status in Latin America. After playing stadiums opening for Shakira, they decided to move to the States to pursue a harder rocking sound. They met in Miami with Pipe Maria and Nando Puche, both studio session players, and the lineup was complete. www.myspace.com/themonas
