WHY:
The Island of Tobago has long been a getaway destination for visitors from all over the world. The Plymouth Jazz Festival was created to bring an international element to an area of paradise, giving visitors three days of extraordinary entertainment and awesome food. In 2005 history was made as the first Plymouth Jazz Festival was held featuring musical legend Stevie Wonder. The Second Annual Plymouth Jazz Festival plans to be even bigger and better.

American Idol's musical director Rickey Minor will serve as Musical Producer for this year's festival, bringing this assemblage of talent together for the biggest Plymouth Jazz Festival yet.

Tobago is home to world-renowned Carnival and is located 21 miles northeast of Trinidad, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Stretching over 16 miles long and seven miles wide, the tranquil island has a population of almost 55,000. Tourism, agriculture and fishing are Tobago's major revenue-earners; therefore the island relies on tourists and makes for a beautiful escape for visitors.
