NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - The deadline for Scott Stapp's With Arms Wide Open Foundation scholarship program to send 15 parent-child groups to U.S. Space Camp's Parent-Child Program this summer has been set. May 1 is the deadline for application submissions for the camp, which has been set for July 26-28 in Titusville, Fla. This is the second year the Creed singer's organization has provided this opportunity for children between the ages of 7 and 11 and their parents. To enter, parents need to write to the With Arms Wide Open Foundation (P.O. Box 10230, Tallahassee, FL 32302) explaining why they want to take their child to the camp and why they deserve the financial help for attending. The letter must be postmarked by May 1 and should be just one page long. For more details, check out www.spacecamp.com. In other news, the Foundation has teamed with Comfort Zone Camp to offer bereavement services to children who lost loved ones in the Sept. 11 attacks. This camp will be held April 26-28 at Camp Mason in Blairstown, N.J. The camp is free, including meals and lodging. To register to attend the camp, and for more information, check out www.comfortzonecamp.org or call 866.488.5679.
