NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Like his brothers Master P and C-Murder, Silkk the Shocker was born and raised in New Orleans. He began rapping as a teenager, joining a number of gangsta crews including the Down South Hustlers.

His success on No Limit Records has given him a life quite different from the life he lived as a kid growing up in the ghetto. Silkk explained his very extravagant life to George Stroumboulopoulos in Baton Rouge at the home of his brother Master P.
�It�s just a change of residence. I could live in a one bedroom, but I�ve worked so hard, so why not buy yourself something, why not try to enjoy life. You never know when you could go.
So that�s the only reason we get stuff like cars and houses, because we worked hard for it.�
