HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Katharine Hepburn's expected discharge from a hospital was postponed Monday to give doctors more time to monitor her ability to walk. The 94-year-old, four-time Academy Award winner was admitted to Hartford Hospital last Wednesday for treatment of a urinary infection. She had been due to be released Monday. However, although her doctors decided Monday morning that the infection had "cleared up nicely," Hepburn's ability to walk had suffered after more than four days in the hospital bed, hospital spokesman James Battaglio said. Doctors have not set a new date for Hepburn's discharge, he said. Hepburn has had health problems including arthritis, pneumonia and Parkinson's-like tremors.
