NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Master P didnt come from traditional rap cities like New York or L.A. he came from New Orleans.
He grew up in a very tough area of that city, a city that made him want to better himself and get out. And he did, creating a hip-hop empire out of his independent label called No Limit Records.

George Stroumboulopoulos spoke with him on the basketball court at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to find out what it was like growing up in New Orleans and working his way out of the projects.
"This was my big break to get out. I started selling tapes out of the trunk of my car and here I am. Right now I cant do nothing but thank the man and get on my knees at night and say I made it," said Master P.
