NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Hip-hop soul queen
Mary J. Blige has requested that the song "Braveheart Party," her collaboration with
Nas and the
Bravehearts, be removed from Nas's latest platinum-certified set,
Stillmatic. For reasons described as "personal," Blige asked that the
Swizz Beatz-produced song not be included on future pressings of the album. Fans lucky enough to have purchased the first edition
Stillmatic now have a potential collector's item.
Blige has collaborated with Nas in the past: The rapper was featured on "Love Is All We Need," from the Blige's 1997 triple-platinum Share My World album. Blige is currently featured on Nas rival Jay-Z's latest release, Unplugged, on the medley "Can't Knock The Hustle/Family Affair."
In related news, Blige is currently gearing up for a world tour that will kick off on February 5 in Albany, New York.
