Montclair, NJ (www.atomicbrother.com) - Atomic Brother, the NY/NJ-based hard rock outfit, will record the follow-up to their first release, this March. The band made their debut release in October 2004 with a single inspired by the 2004 Presidential Election. The song was not an Atomic Brother original, but a revamped version of the Alice Cooper classic, "Elected."

Atomic Brother's James Melillo and S.A. Sebastian Gnolfo have since spent all of 2005 doing pre-production and writing and recording new original music in their Montclair, NJ studio and various rehearsal studios in NYC. For the pre-production process they enlisted the aid of Greg Schiff, of the NYC-based band Stark, to play drums, helping to work out the songs until they were exactly where they wanted them. 'Many of the songs were written in the first few months, but we wanted to take our time and craft songs we'd be proud of. We didn't want to rush things,' says Sebastian.

The band demoed songs, recording like crazy until they liked what they had. They ended up throwing out a lot of songs, and rediscovering songs they had written years ago. Demos of the songs 'Employee of the Month,' 'Up In You,' and 'Home in the Sky' with videos of rehearsals and alternate versions of other songs, to give fans a preview of some of the music that Atomic Brother will be recording, and a chance to follow the creative process.

With songwriting and pre-production complete, James and Sebastian will spend the month of March locked up with old friend, and former Krokus drummer, Patrick Aeby at Soundlake Studios, in Lausanne, Switzerland recording. This reunites the trio, playing together for the first time since 1994, when they toured together in Switzerland, Italy and Monaco. Producing the recordings will be James and Sebastian with Patrick and Sebastian engineering.

Although the band is primarily a hard rock band, the songs slated for recording run the gamut from punk and metal influenced to acoustic and Spanish influenced. The band has no rules when it comes to writing other than style doesn't matter as long as it sounds like Atomic Brother. "We really love all kinds of music and enjoy the challenge of writing in different styles. Rock, Pop, Country, Metal, it doesn't matter."

There is currently no release date scheduled and recordings will be part of an as yet untitled release.
More updates will be announced.
