TORONTO, CA. (Musicrypt) - Musicrypt Inc, the industry's leading digital music distribution company, today announced that it has entered into agreements with three new customers to use its patented
Digital Media Distribution
System (DMDS) to securely distribute independent music to radio, press, music publishers, booking agents, promoters and other destinations including U.S. radio.
Spincycle, a division of Frontside Promotions, based in Vancouver; Canada Disc and Tape, based in Calgary with offices in Edmonton and Saskatoon; and I2R, based in Montreal, will join with RDR Music Group and CIRPA to provide extensive access to DMDS for the vibrant and growing independent music sector in Canada.
"Having these quality organizations on board will help us acheive our goal of making DMDS available to everyone who wants to use this invaluable tool," said Cliff Hunt, Chairman and co-founder of Musicrypt. "As a previous independent label owner, I would have loved to have been able to deliver my music to North American radio in the same way as the major labels. These are all revenue-generating deals, and the independent sector is expanding and will continue to grow in numbers and influence."
Musicrypt's Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) has delivered over 3,000 songs to over 2 million destinations throughout North America, clearly making it the dominant secure digital delivery system. Musicrypt is partnered in the U.S. with industry leaders Billboard Radio Monitor and Nielsen BDS, as well as Hit Predictor, and is endorsed by Clear Channel Radio and XM Satellite Radio. Major Canadian broadcast chains representing 100% of all chart monitored radio stations use DMDS, including Canada's three largest broadcasters, Standard Radio, Corus Radio and Rogers Media Broadcasting on an exclusive basis. Musicrypt's DMDS is the digital distribution system of choice by the Canadian Music Industry including SONY BMG Music, EMI Music, Universal Music and Warner Music.
