LOS ANGELES (www.rhythmbank.com) - In response to enthusiastic reaction from fans of the tremendously success Showtime TV original series of the same name, the 'SLEEPER CELL' soundtrack CD is being rush-released to hit stores February 7, 2006 (Rhythmbank Entertainment). The album highlights the most explosive and defining music from the series, celebrating critically acclaimed artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Tricky, Faithless, Citizen Cope, and Nona Hendryx. Original score material by Grammy nominated composer Paul Haslinger (Tangerine Dream) is also included in the line-up. The CD has received rave reviews from fans of the 'Sleeper Cell' series, soundtracks, indie rock, trip hop, and ambient/ electronic music. As a result, three singles off the CD have been made available for Digital Download exclusively on iTunes in advance of the CD's release; after February 7, they will available everywhere. The songs are: 'Higher Purpose' (by Paul Haslinger featuring Nona Hendryx), 'Ayn Al Aquin' (by Paul Haslinger featuring Sussan Deyhim and AJ Racy), and 'Tic Toc' (by Paul Haslinger featuring Mike Kumagei and Nona Hendryx). The album was co-produced by Hendryx and Haslinger, with Hendryx also serving as Executive Producer. Hendryx, known internationally as 1/3 of superstar pop/soul group LaBelle, has won critical acclaim for her solo work, including 1991's 'Skin Diver' CD. The 'Sleeper Cell' soundtrack marks her first new music in 10 years. Rhythmbank Entertainment has partnered with Showtime for an exciting promotional tie-in with the 'Sleeper Cell' original series DVD box set release in March; a postcard included in each package provides details of a contest to win a Video iPod and soundtrack CD. A podcast is being prepared featuring interviews with Hendryx, and Haslinger, providing insight into the making of the soundtrack CD and the creation of music to enhance and characterize key moments in the TV series as well as stand up on its own as a forceful album. The podcast will be available on by mid-February www.rhythmbank.com as well as iTunes and Showtime (www.sho.com). Track Listing: 01. Mass Destruction (Paul Jackson Big Weapon Mix) by Faithless 02.
