Faith Hill ups ante at casino opening

(Launch) - Faith Hill performed her only scheduled concert this year Wednesday night at the grand opening of Casino Rama near Toronto.
The expectant singer pulled in a whopping million dollars for the performance. The audience was also treated to a surprise appearance by former Beatle Ringo Starr on stage just prior to Hill's performance. "I hope there are this many of you next week for my show," Starr told the audience, according to the Toronto Star. Hill brought the hundreds of fans in attendance to their feet with such hits as "This Kiss" and covers including Diana Ross' "Love Child," Rod Stewart's "Stay With Me" and Hill's hit rendition of the Janis Joplin tune, "Piece of My Heart." Hill currently graces the cover of the summer 2001 issue of Grammy magazine. She and husband Tim McGraw are expecting their third child in January.
