DETROIT (AP) - Although no date has been officially determined,
Neil Young is planning a spring release for his next solo album, currently titled Are You Passionate?
The 11-track collection features Young working with a band that includes Booker T. & the MG's alumni Booker T. Jones on keyboards and Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass, Crazy Horse's Frank "Poncho" Sampedro on guitar, and Steve "Smokey" Potts on drums. The full lineup of Crazy Horse reportedly performs on one of the album's tracks, too. Jones, Dunn, and Potts will back Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young on their upcoming tour, which kicks off February 6 at Michigan's Palace Of Auburn Hills.
Young has already previewed Are You Passionate? with the rush release last month of "Let's Roll." The ominous rocker was inspired by the story of Todd Beamer and United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers attacked the plane's hijackers, who were allegedly planning a suicide assault on Washington, D.C.
The Are You Passionate? tracklist, which is subject to change, includes: "You're My Girl," "Mr. Disappointment," "Differently," "Don't Say You Love Me," "Let's Roll," "Are You Passionate?", "Goin' Home," "When I Hold You In My Arms," "Be With You," "Two Old Friends," and "She's A Healer."
