LOS ANGELES (AP) - A series of fights broke out Wednesday (January 9) at Mack 10's concert at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood. Fifteen minutes into Mack 10's explosive set, which opened with his infectious debut single "Foe Life," a dispute between concertgoers erupted into a brawl that spread throughout the main floor.
As the squabbling persisted despite efforts from the venue's security, Mack 10 announced that he had someone in the house that he wanted to bring out.
Ice Cube then charged onto the stage to the music of his pulsating 1999 hit "You Can Do It," calming the tension and sending the crowd into hysteria. The original N.W.A member then professed his support to Mack 10, and added, "For you motherf--kers fighting, I only got one thing to say" as he ripped into his latest single, "$100 Dollar Bill Ya'll," from his recently released Greatest Hits album.
Fellow Westside Connection member W.C. also shocked the crowd with a surprise appearance, which included his 1998 song "Cheddar."
Without letting the onstage energy subside, the respected hip-hop trio delivered passionate renditions of their joint efforts: "Gangstas Make The World Go Round," the title track from their 1996 album Bow Down, and "Let It Reign" from the Thicker Than Water soundtrack.
While on stage, Mack 10 also addressed the issue of leaving his hometown of Inglewood, California to move to Atlanta, where he lives with his wife, T-Boz of TLC. "To all the mother f--kers spreading rumors that Mack 10 couldn't come back to the West, they must have 'Hate In [They] Eyes,'" he said, referring to the title of his Dr. Dre-produced new single. He then performed the song, wrapping the show, his first since 1999's Up In Smoke tour.
