LOS ANGELES (www.choppercitymusic.com) - Former Cash Money duo, B.G. and Mannie Fresh have reunited in the studio for the first single from B.G.'s upcoming album, THE HEART OF THE STREETS: VOL. 2 (I AM WHAT I AM) to be released on Chopper City Records. B.G. now living in Detroit and Mannie Fresh, now living in Houston will hook up in New Orleans and Atlanta for two days to shoot the video for "Move Around," with director, Gil Green. This historic moment in hip-hop marks the first time B.G. and Mannie Fresh have recorded together since B.G. left Cash Money.
"Mannie Fresh created a certain sound for each Cash Money artist and even though I've worked with damn near everybody from Swizz Beats to DJ Smurf, Fresh is Fresh." B.G. adds, "We kept in contact over the years and after he left the label, it was on and popping. We hooked up immediately, recorded a bunch of tracks and 'Move Around' was the song we decided to use to let everyone know we're collaborating again. I've worked with Mannie Fresh since I was a kid and plan to continue to record with him in the future."

B.G. wanted to film the entire video in New Orleans he was denied a permit by the city because the area where he wanted to shoot was in the most devastated parts of New Orleans. B.G. confesses that he's still affected by the disaster that happened in his hometown. "It can't get no realer than what happened to New Orleans. What I saw on TV didn't prepare for me when I felt when I went back home. I questioned God. I questioned my faith, but I had to come to grips with myself. I can't question God or Mother Nature. I wondered why my people and my city had to go through what we had to go through. In the beginning, I really thought that it was the end of the world."

Although he's been living in Detroit and considers The Motor City his second home, B.G. is looking forward to returning back home and helping to rebuild the city. "I came to Detroit about three years ago and it's been like my second home ever since, but everyday I wake up, I'm wishing I can go down to the projects and see my people. I miss all my spots, by most of all I miss my people. No matter where I'm living, I'll always represent the 504."

B.G. will return to New Orleans for a show at the House Of Blues on January 14th. The Heart of Tha Streetz: Vol. 2 (I Am What I Am) will be released March 21, 2006 on Chopper City Records.
