NEW YORK (Strater Records) - Undercurrent is for sale. Yes, the mysteriously glamourous rock band Undercurrent, with lead singer Rachel Car, guitar player George Wabisca, bass player Joann Fabrizio and drummer J.L., announced on Tuesday that they are for sale. And so is their first album online. The album has songs that are so catchy they could stay in your head for days after one listen. The most downloaded songs so far have been Hot Thing, a song about being a struggling actress in Hollywood, Night & Day, a song about obsessive love and Emergency, and psycho-romantic song about the singer, Rachel Car, doing anything to get to her lover. The songs are being played on radio stations in the U.S., the U.K. and Australia, and a surprising amount of traffic to the site is coming from Switzerland. The music video for Night & Day, directed by award-winning director Erin Strater, has been accepted and screened at film festivals. The artwork for the album and custom multi-media website was done by artist C. Finley, who currently does designs for the merchandise, album and website for the band The Bravery. Undercurrent is currently in the studio, working on their second album Both Ways, in which the production has been wrought with controversy. The album is currently available for purchase and publishing worldwide. The second will available in early 2006.
