Kylie Minogue's Long-Awaited 'Tension Tour' Concludes US Leg With Electric Show In LA
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This Friday, May 2, global pop icon Kylie Minogue concluded the 12th and final date of the U.S. leg of her global 'Tension Tour' at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena. The expansive tour marks a massive career milestone for the two time Grammy Award Winning artist, with her largest tour in the United States. After opening in Kylie's home country of Australia earlier this year, the world tour headed to Asia before kicking off the North American leg in Toronto. Kylie will now go on to the UK, Europe and finally South and Central America in August.

Kylie's U.S. fans have patiently awaited the superstar's arrival stateside for over a decade. The 'Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour' in 2011 was the last time much of the country saw Minogue live. A massive pop spectacle, it was named one of Billboard's annual "Top 25 Tours", and Pollstar's "Top 50 Worldwide Tours". Shortly after the smash success of "Padam Padam" and Tension, Kylie sold out her highly anticipated Las Vegas Debut Residency at Voltaire (The Venetian Resort) which opened in 2023, extending through May 2024. Shortly after, she announced she would triumphantly return to the United States with what would be her biggest tour to date.

Making her Madison Square Garden headline debut on April 4 and 5, the New York Post declared "she was the hottest ticket in town" and Billboard glowed "it was all Minogue's world. She owned the stage as if she had been playing it forever." As she made her way from the East Coast, South and Westward, The Orlando Sentinel gushed "Kylie Minogue sparkles with staying power." In Texas, The Austin American Statesman reaffirmed "Her showmanship was so polished, you could see your reflection."

The setlist was packed with decades worth of countless hits like "Spinning Around," "The Loco-Motion," "I Should Be So Lucky," "Can't Get You Out of My Head," "All the Lovers" and new fan favorites like "Lights Camera Action"and viral smash hit and Grammy award winning pop-dance banger "Padam Padam". With a nod to "Where the Wild Roses Grow" Minogue passed out roses to those lucky, adoring fans flanking the stage. She also opened it up to acoustic fan requests ranging from "The One" to "Vegas High," "Breathe" and more. Opening acts for her North American tour were Romy (of The xx) and BRIT-nominatedartist Rita Ora.

The past few years have seen Minogue at an astounding career peak, taking home the Global Icon Award at the BRITs, winning the Best Pop Dance RecordingGrammy Award for the smash hit, "Padam Padam", being named one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People, attending the Met Gala, completing her inaugural Las Vegas Residency and releasing a series of high profile collaborations. July 2024 saw Kylie perform an awe-inspiring and critically lauded headline show at London's BST Hyde Park. In 2023, Kylie released her Number 1 album Tension, which has now surpassed 550,000 sales worldwide and surpassed half a billion streams. The number 1 album and global smash was followed by the high energy, high octane Tension II in October 2024 via BMG. The exciting sequel sees Kylie head further into the electronic space, and is packed full of dance floor anthems. The record includes nine brand new Kylie studio tracks including lead single "Lights Camera Action", as well as the dance hit "Edge of Saturday Night" with The Blessed Madonna and the collaborations with Orville Peck, Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo, and Sia. She was recently seen in Netflix's The Residence.

Kylie's glittering career has seen her amass sales of over 80 million records worldwide, five billion streams and ten UK Number 1 albums. Her multiple awards include four BRIT awards, two MTV Awards and two GRAMMY Awards. Kylie is the only female artist to score a Number 1 album and Top 10 singles in five consecutive decades in the UK.
