Alt-Pop Newcomer Pip Lewis Unveils Haunting New Single + Lyric Video "Funeral" From Upcoming Album 'Growing Pains'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pip Lewis is a British singer-songwriter based in San Diego, California. At just 22, she brings over a decade of musical experience to her artistry, crafting emotionally rich songs that explore the nuances of growing up. Her upcoming album, 'Growing Pains,' blends introspective storytelling with dreamy, atmospheric soundscapes to chart the messy, beautiful terrain of self-discovery and change.
Her latest single, "Funeral," is a haunting reflection on unrequited love and emotional absence, capturing the uncertainty of growing up through the lens of imagined loss and longing.

Pip says, ""Funeral" is the final track on my upcoming album, "Growing Pains." It's a desperate recounting of a yearning, bittersweet love—a sonic clinging at the knees of a lover who is not fully present. As the ending of "Growing Pains," it reads almost like a eulogy for someone who hasn't died yet. The narrator is asking morbid questions like… What would my funeral look like? Would this lover grieve my loss? Would he feel guilt? Would he even cry?"

She adds, "Ultimately, "Funeral" dwells in the uncertain—and that is much of what "Growing Pains" is. The album exists across past, present, and future, asking questions both internally (to the self) and externally (to the subject). Growing up is inherently uncertain. It's about dealing with love and loss and pain and moving on for the first time. "Funeral" is the ultimate epilogue of those emotions."
