New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The GRAMMY nominated pop-rock band, OneRepublic, announced their new single "Invincible (from Kaiju No.8)"will be released on April 18th.
Following the success of "Nobody (Kaiju No. 8 ED theme)," which won the Japan Gold Disc Award 2025 "Song of the Year by Download," the band once again specially wrote for anime "Kaiju No.8". The song is about no matter what happens, no matter how hard it is, there is a moment in time to feel nothing. It's about those moments in life. This single is a collaboration with "Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon", an original new episode focused on one of the most popular characters; Hoshina, featured after a condensed recap of the first season of Kaiju No. 8 available only on cinemas.
January 2025, the frontman Ryan Tedder posted a video from his hotel room in Tokyo saying, "I just recorded the bridge! The song wasn't done till 30 seconds ago!" and the following day at the Ariake
Arena show, the band gave a surprise performance of freshly made "Invincible (from Kaiju No.8). Ever since then, fans have been waiting for the release of this single. Live footage:
