NASHVILLE, TN (Gibson Foundation) - Gibson Guitar announces the release of 'Nashville's Guitar Art: The Art of a Music City Legend', a colorful limited edition, commemorative book highlighting Nashville's popular GuitarTown Project. The book includes beautiful photographs of all of the guitar sculptures and showcase guitars. It also includes profiles of the visual artists, as well as quotes and photographs of the many Country music artists who supported this project. From Kenny Chesney to Wynonna, the book is a memoir of the project which has been recognized worldwide.

Starting on November 10, 2005 while quantities last, the book can be purchased by visiting Borders Bookstore at 2501 West End Avenue, The Country Music Hall of Fame, The Gibson Showcase at Opry Mills and on www.nashvilleguitartown.com. The retail price of the book is $39.95 plus tax. This collector's item is the perfect holiday gift or a unique corporate gift giving option. All of the book proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The District, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the United Way of Nashville.

The guitars will complete a "tour" of Nashville and then be sold at a Auction Gala Event in Nashville at the BMI building on Thursday, February 23, 2006 with all of the proceeds going to the charities listed above. The GuitarTown Project, presented by Gibson Guitar, is a public arts project that features thirty-nine 10 foot tall fiberglass Gibson Les Paul or Chet Atkins model guitars as well as thirty showcase (regular size) guitars. The project has united the Nashville art, music and business communities behind the cause of raising money for four local charitable organizations.

The GuitarTown Project is administered through the Gibson Foundation, a Division of the Gibson Guitar Corporation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life through its support of the arts, education, health & welfare and environmental causes.
