RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico, (Coco Beach Golf & Country Club) - On October 16, 2005, numerous celebrities attended the first annual Celebrity Cancer Golf Classic held at Coco Beach Golf & Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Most notable were Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. The golf tournament and awards luncheon raised more than $100,000 for two Puerto Rican cancer facilities (Hospital Auxilio Mutuo Cancer Center and Sociedad America del Cancer).

Also in attendance were singer/actor Chayanne; future MLB Hall of Famer Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, catcher for the Detroit Tigers; Three-time Boxing World Champion Felix "Tito" Trinidad; PGA Champions Tour golfer Chi Chi Rodriquez; Puerto Rico's Governor Anibal Acevedo Vila and other local Puerto Rican celebrities and TV personalities.
