NEW YORK (AP) - EMI Records will re-release George Harrison's best known solo hit, 1971's "My Sweet Lord," with proceeds going to an as-yet-undecided charity in the wake of the Beatle guitarist's death last week.
There was no word at press time on an exact release date for the single, which is expected to be released in its original form. "My Sweet Lord" was a No. 1 hit on both sides of the Atlantic and was the first No. 1 hit for a solo Beatle. The song originally appeared on Harrison's 1970 album, All Things Must Pass.
