Hurray For The Riff Raff To Tour With Bright Eyes In November
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Hurray for the Riff Raff (aka Alynda Segarra) will join Bright Eyes once again as special guest on six shows of their upcoming North American fall tour. The artists, who toured together throughout the spring and summer following the release of Hurray for the Riff Raff's Nonesuch debut album, LIFE ON EARTH, reunite in Bloomington, Illinois, November 6, followed by shows in Kalamazoo, Toronto, Montreal, and Providence, culminating at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn November 12. Hurray for the Riff Raff also performs at Moonstone Fest in Birmingham October 29 and as part of NPR Music's 15th anniversary celebration at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, November 29.

LIFE ON EARTH is a departure for the New Orleans-based Segarra. Its eleven new "nature punk" tracks on the theme of survival are music for a world in flux—songs about thriving, not just surviving, while disaster is happening. For their eighth full-length album, Segarra drew inspiration from The Clash, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Bad Bunny, and the author of Emergent Strategy, adrienne maree brown. Recorded during the pandemic, Life on Earth was produced by Brad Cook (Waxahatchee, Bon Iver, Kevin Morby). You can get it and hear it here.
