LAS VEGAS, CA. (ValCom Inc.)-ValCom Inc., a vertically integrated entertainment company, announced today that it has entered into a strategic joint venture agreement with privately-held Powerhouse Productions Inc. Powerhouse Productions is an artist management company that owns the worldwide rights to the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame members The Platters. The Platters were one of the top vocal groups of the '50s. Their lengthy string of hits began in 1955 with "Only You" and continued until the end of the decade, including four singles that reached No. 1: "The Great Pretender," "My Prayer," "Twilight Time" and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes."

Vince Vellardita, chairman and CEO of ValCom Inc., said, "I have always been a big fan of The Platters and I am truly honored to be working with them and their management. Their international fan base is a true testament of their years of hard work and we look forward to re-introducing them to the world using all of our resources. We plan on putting together a film project about their lives as well as digitize, re-master, and re-release their 16 No. 1 hits and 270 of their songs. Some of their material has never been heard before by the public."

Jean Bennett, executive director/advisor of Powerhouse Productions, said, "I am truly delighted about being with ValCom where the sky is the limit. This new charge is exactly what I have been waiting for since Buck Ram passed away. Our organization is looking forward to bringing back The Platters in a big way with a new message for our young, old, and new fans."
