Icehouse Music Releases Single I from XIT

(Icehouse Music) - Icehouse Music, Inc. will release the first single from its latest CD project TEN IN TEXAS (XIT), an anthology CD featuring brand new, never-heard-before recordings from some of the Lone Star State's most distinguished artists.

Aaron Watson, who originates from Amarillo, recorded his Texas dance hall version of the Buddy Holly classic "True Love Ways." Featuring smooth twin fiddles, the single has true Texas flavor. Aaron brands this traditional standard with his own country/western signature. Icehouse Music will release Watson's rendition "True Love Ways" (as featured in the TEN IN TEXAS collection) to radio October 3, 2005.

A regular headlining act at Billy Bob's Texas, Midnight Rodeo, and Gilley's Dallas, Aaron also has an extensive tour schedule. With nearly 200 shows on the books this year, Aaron has been on the road to promote his current solo album release THE HONKY TONK KID (featuring Willie Nelson, Dale Watson and Asleep at the Wheel) playing dates in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, Wyoming, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oregon and North Carolina. Aaron Watson was honored with the Armadillo Award at the 2004 Terry Awards in Fort Worth, recognized as the best all-original Texas act in 2004. (Past winners include Deryl Dodd & Tommy Alverson.)

TEN IN TEXAS is produced by Ray Benson (with Lloyd Maines) and is filled with Lone Star hit makers.
