 LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Epic R&B/soul artist Macy Gray has canceled the handful of shows she had scheduled through mid-December in support of her sophomore album, "The Id." The eight-show trek was due to kick off tomorrow (Nov. 30) at Billboard Live in Miami Beach, Fla., and run through Dec. 11 in Scottsdale, Ariz. At deadline, an Epic spokesperson said there was no official statement about the cancellations. While there's no mention of the canceled shows on Gray's official Web site, the news page notes that the artist is scheduled to appear Dec. 14 on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," and will ring in the new year with a Dec. 31 show at Los Angeles' House of Blues. In place of Gray's Billboard Live performance, the venue has scheduled a trio of DJs -- Tony G, Michael Storm, and Tibo and will host the Swimwear Latin Fashion Show 2002 Collection, featuring Miss Colombia 2001, Vanessa Mendoza, and Argentinean TV star Eori Smar. Gray's canceled dates also encompass Orlando, Fla. (Dec. 1) Atlanta (Dec. 2) New Orleans (Dec. 4) Dallas (Dec. 6) Austin, Texas (Dec. 7) Houston, Texas (Dec. 8) Scottsdale, Ariz. (Dec. 11).
