Rapper Bugzy Malone Launches New Trainer 'Skeleton' Exclusively With JD Sports
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Manchester-born grime star, Bugzy Malone celebrated the launch of his latest trainer the Skeleton X1, by surprising 30 fans with an intimate gig at the JD Store in the Arndale Centre. The Skeleton X1 is the second release from his B Malone brand, launched in partnership with sport and fashion retailer JD Sports, retailing at £110.

The trainer is available in a stealthy monochrome colourway, featuring a breathable jacquard knit upper with a tonal protective front shield for added support. Inspired by the body of a Scorpion, the shoe features design elements that resemble its sting abdomen and claws. The whole shoe sits on a 5 piece chunky sole uni, and is finished with branded taping to the tongue and the iconic B.Malone logo to the sidewalls.

Speaking on the launch Bugzy said, "We've been working on the Skeleton X1 since the launch of Scorpion in 2019. The design journey took a different route - the B Malone team ran with my idea. It was the refining process that took the time, as we stripped back the shoe. I've been training in it for the last four months - to make sure it can go from the gym to the street."

Taking it back to where it all began, JD Sports hosted an intimate gig with Bugzy Malone and 30 fans, where he performed some of his biggest and most iconic tracks including M.E.N, Body, War Mode and Beauty and the Beast. This followed his performance at the AO Arena - the Manchester date of his last ever tour. He was also joined by DJ Specs Gonzales for a Q&A where he discussed life after music, and what he plans to do when he retires from music following his final UK tour.
