New York, NY (Top40 Charts) For years, Dylan Meek has made his presence felt as a gifted sideman. He has collaborated and performed with Post Malone, Quavo, Miguel, Stanaj, Questlove, and of course, his brother Buck Meek of Big Thief. Now, the virtuosic player is turning inward to focus on his own sound. The result is a gorgeous collection of soul infused R&B, the 7-song All I Need (expected February 18th, 2022).
Today, Meek is sharing the third single from his debut, the effervescent synth pop jam " Let's Dance". The minimalistic visual finds Meek grooving to the track in a stark room, subtle colors shifting across him. He explains -
"When you love your romantic partner and are usually willing to go out of your way to please them in any way they like (because you're a giver). But right now you want to put all of that aside and just have a good old Dance Party!!! " Let's Dance" is a playful love song with the intention to inspire laughter, playfulness, and most importantly Shaking. That. Booty!!!"
It comes on the heels of his previous single, the instant classic "Shining Stars", featuring a stuttering drum groove and syncopated bass that invokes D'Angelo. His debut single, " Sweet Summer" perfectly captured the euphoria of this past season. It's a stunning group of singles from one of LA's new voices.
