LOS ANGELES (AP) - Some of the biggest names in rock are confirmed to appear at the 12th annual Almost Acoustic Christmas concerts, sponsored by Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM. Linkin Park and Staind will play both the Dec. 8-9 shows at the Universal Amphitheatre; System Of A Down, Blink-182, Alien Ant Farm, and P.O.D. are also on the bill on Dec. 8, while Nickelback, Coldplay, 311, and Travis join the lineup the next night.

Proceeds from the shows will benefit the local charities Children of the Night, Para Los Ninos, and the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center. Tickets are $50 and go on sale this weekend via Ticketmaster in the Los Angeles area only.

No Doubt, Weezer, Moby, Deftones, Incubus, and Papa Roach played both nights of the event last year.
