New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lyfe Jennings always stands for the truth, and has a profound way of expressing lessons learned that transform into must-hear musical art. For his unwavering stance, one will either cheer him or jeer him. However, that never made any difference for Jennings, who served prison time for a decade, before introducing himself at the Apollo - once he broke through the boos - with jaw dropping performances with just an acoustic guitar.

With a decade of music behind him, he released his major label debut on Columbia Records in 2004, 268-192. Ever since, we have appreciated this Toledo, Ohio singer/songwriter/musician for his gripping storylines ranging from "Statistics," listing the unfortunate clues behind relationship traps, to "Must Be Nice," in accepting a lover, flaws and all.

It was two years ago that Jennings released the disc 777, and he now has a follow up to "What," entitled "Flawless Diamond." The shimmering keyboards anchored by a soft R&B groove capture the intent of the maturing process behind relationships. Jennings further explains: "I made this song because no 'flawless diamond' ever came out the mine flawless; it had to be chiseled into the desired shape." What makes this track genuinely flow are Jennings and Amina Buddafly's voices blending in a two-as-one mentality. While waiting for a new full-length project from Jennings, "Flawless Diamond" absolutely satisfies the soul - reflecting that shiny diamond through his trademark insight.
