NEW YORK (Better Than Ezra Officail Website) - New Orleans own Better Than Ezra rushed back from an appearance on the CBS Saturday Early Show in New York last weekend to their hometown this past Saturday to try to prepare for Hurricane Katrina. 'We were watching the reports come in at CBS and a few hours after we finished performing we rushed over to the airport to catch the next and probably last flight back to New Orleans,' lead singer Kevin Griffin commented. 'However once we got to New Orleans we couldn't even make it back to our homes.' Better Than Ezra will give back to the community by donating a portion of the proceeds from their upcoming tour to the American Red Cross. 'It's the least we can do for our hometown of New Orleans that has given us so much over the years,' Griffin added. The band also is currently organizing a concert along with other bands from New Orleans to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Details about this show will be announced shortly.
